In Hodeidah governorate in Yemen, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) responded quickly to the damage caused by torrential rains by draining rainwater pools and swamps. KSrelief’s direct and rapid response to the emergency was applauded by Salem Alyan, the Director-General of Al-Khokha in Hodeidah.
The drainage of rainwater pools in Al-Khokha streets and refugee camps significantly reduced the spread of diseases transmitted by mosquitoes and insects. KSrelief is carrying out water supply and environmental sanitation projects in Yemen to improve the living conditions of Yemeni citizens.
